business plan quotes

If you are a solo professional like me, you know how hard it is to find any time at all to do business planning. Make a complete business plan is a necessity if you are planning to seek financing or investors, but most solo professionals do not need anything that complicated.
Do not get me wrong, business planning is one of the most important things you need to do to succeed in man or woman show. Without planning that goes to the drifting aimlessly from one crisis to another and from one idea to the next, never getting anything done.
So, what is a single pro do? This is what I do in my own business:
My business plan consists of a page with very little about it. It merely lists the three goals to be reached this year. Next, the list I a declaration for each goal: reaching the target # 1 I need …. This is followed by two to five activities or action items have to do to make that happen.
That's it. That's the plan. The beauty is simplicity. I simply can not handle more than that. I do not have a computer. I do not have "people". Everything has to be structured so I can get it done simply and systematically.
So now one of my goals is to increase sales of a number, like $ 25,000. Then I wonder, "What needs to be done for that?" You may want to develop an electronic book or add a new service. potential or current clients How many need to get? How long will I need to develop the work or service? How can I sell it?
Of these replies, I develop my schedule. What I do monthly, weekly, daily? I break it into pieces that take an hour or less. For example if I decide I need to send 100 postcards Marketing in a month, I break it into 25 cards a week. Then, I put on my calendar each week as I make my appointments with customers.
To keep on track, I place my mini plan in front of my keyboard every morning is the first thing I see. Also includes a note to myself. It reminds me that "Nothing Else Matters. "I still have my company slogan: Get Knowledge. Get Focus. Delivering results.
Sophisticated schemes have tons of time to develop and many (if not most) end up gathering dust on a shelf. Using a simple plan to improve its focus and helps you get great results.
