The grant proposal writing software?
Does anyone know of software that will help right a grant proposal? I'm writing my business plan for opening a barbecue restaurant and used a software that helped me a lot. Now I have to make the proposal to submit for help with funding and it's hard! I did a search and found nothing, but surely there is something! Even a sign that I could read to see the structure and format? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!
There are grants management software, but no grant writing unlike software business plans. The government grant site to download software offer Grants.gov is required for the submission of grants http://www.grants.gov/help/download_software.jsp Note that subsidies are not usually given to start a restaurant. Unlike the myths that some perpetuate, federal government and even private foundations nearly do not grant money for starting a profit-making business. One possible exception is for companies developing or exporting agricultural products including food and forest products. Another exception could be the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) http://www.sba.gov/aboutsba/sbaprograms/sbir/index.html programs, funding research and development of technological innovation that meets the needs government specific. Your best bet is in fact the states if they offer scholarship programs for women (or any special interest groups – The minorities, women, disabled, veterans, etc.). Or ask the non-profit organizations, particularly women organizations if they offer scholarships. Examples are the Women's Foundation of New Mexico Iowa Women's Foundation http://www.nmwf.org/guidelines.html http://www.iawf.org/ Even SBA NOT give grants. From the SBA website http://www.sba.gov/mostrequesteditems/CON_FAQ2.html "The U.S. Small Business Administration does not offer grants to start or expand small companies, although it does offer a wide variety of loan programs. (See http://www.sba.gov/financing information) While SBA offers several programs grant, these are generally designed to expand and enhance organizations that allow small business management, technical or financial assistance. These grants generally support non-profit organizations, intermediary lending institutions and state and local governments. "However, you can go to the Catalog of Domestic Federal Assistance (CFDA) and http://www.cfda.gov http://www.grants.gov Grants.gov – these are two sites created by the federal government to provide transparency and information on subsidies. Browse the listings and see if you can find any grant that would support a for-profit company.
