Is it okay to go to a religious retreat if you are not in religion?
My cousin is having church this weekend retreat for women near weekend and thought of going with them because it sounds like fun. They will be in a hotel in Miami Beach for a while that will take some time off, also going to religious things all day and study the Bible. Now, I believe in God and go to church occasionally, but I'm not religious, the more I feel this is the perfect opportunity to escape because I am stressed out of my event planning business and being mad at my boyfriend. Besides my parents say I should go into a church for a while I will not need a church for my wedding. But anyway, I really want to go even though I'll probably dream day conferences as I do every time I go to church. Do you think I should go or be like lying if I did?
I do not think it's a lie. I do not know anything about the specific removal is happening, but on the basis of most of the withdrawals you have been in the leaders believe that if you welcome or not feeling very "religious." Above all bearing in mind that the more religious retreats point is closer to God, then certainly should not feel bad about going to one when not feel all that close to God. Its leaders probably would be very happy to have the opportunity to help bring us closer to God, but not the main reason you are attending the retreat.
